Was browsing through a shared Google Drive to review some client materials (spoiler: none of those materials are posted here).
I was prompted to open a video file with an third-party app.
Seems legit, right?
Click on it and then the following web page appeared...
First thought: Wow, someone thought that designing a dos-based modal dialog was a great thing to do in the year of our lord, 2021.
Second thought: This is probably the easiest way to give a Russian Bot Farm access to all my personal and business data.
I plan to fax this third party developer with my questions...
PS -- I'm back to blogging. Will migrate to a more modern site at some point this summer. Not that there's anything wrong with Blogger... Just seems like I should get pager alerts when someone comments on a post.
